Description

This Linkwood single malt was distilled in 2008 and matured for 13 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt (Cask #805189) before being bottled in 2021 by independent bottler Adelphi. It was released as part of Adelphi's summer 2021 releases, with an outturn of 586 bottles. The whisky is unchillfiltered and natural colour. Adelphi, originally a distillery founded in 1825, was revived in 1993 as an independent bottler, focusing on selecting and bottling high-quality single cask whiskies. Raisin bran, lemongrass, fried banana, molasses, pomander. Rye malt, lemon citrus, thyme, dark caramel, raisins and banana fritters.
Palate
Buttery malt with brown sugar and more vibrant orange oils, with lingering chocolatey hints. Oily and buttery, toasted brown sugar, Valencia oranges, Cherry ripe and soft spice.
Finish
Maple syrup, cherry, and oaky spices. Long with golden syrup, stewed cherries and perfectly balanced oak spice.
