Nose
This is sweet and fruity with a dusty layer of honey, vanilla, and sweet liquorice. Notes of green apples, pears, and a hint of mint are present, becoming fruitier over time. Tangy citrus, garden herbs, lemon curd, and black pepper also mingle.
Palate
More punchy than the nose, with a spicy kick and rich maltiness. Fruits remain in focus, with sweet honey and vanilla. A touch of bitterness fills the palate, and fruits evolve towards ripe apples. Runny honey, raspberry leaf, Earl Grey tea, and maple syrup are also noted.
Finish
A continuation of the spicy overlay with freshly ground pepper. Sweet and fruity character persists, with fruits ripening and sweetness receding. A malty core and gentle bitterness remain, with late oakiness emerging from bitter notes, offering a savory quality with hints of ham and hazelnuts. Lingering oak and spice.
