Description

A very special bottling for Wilson & Morgan's 30th Anniversary, this Speyside malt undertook a finish of 30 months in carefully chosen first fill Oloroso casks. The result is dominated by an old-fashioned sherry profile, with the wine wonderfully integrated with the whisky, giving life to unsurpassed depth, fragrance, and rich autumnal notes.

Nose
Unmistakeably dominated by an old-fashioned sherry profile, with the wine wonderfully integrated with the whisky, giving life to unsurpassed depth, fragrance, and rich autumnal notes of chestnuts, raisins, tamarind, gingerbread biscuits.
Palate
Classic juiciness of sherry maturation, with a winey dry character well balanced by honey and raisins. Notes of oranges, earthy and herbal Pu-erh tea, beeswax and marzipan pastries. All very intense and concentrated.
Finish
Drier, more peppery and tannic, and slightly astringent.
