Littlemill 12 Year Old Full Proof 1980s / F&G Import. Littlemill was one of Scotland's oldest distilleries in its time, with distilling rumoured to have taken place there as far back as the late 18th century. It has a turbulent history of ownership changes and mothballings. This is a very rare cask strength distillery bottling of Littlemill from the 1980s, produced exclusively for F&G in Turin, Italy.

Nose
There's a touch of glue and some cardboard but also a pleasing waxiness alongside quite a bit of classic Littlemill fruitiness. Hints of grapefruit, gentle apple notes and a sliver of fresh grass.
Palate
Nice waxiness, almost an oily texture. Arriving with a pinch of white pepper, candied banana and candy floss. A light grapefruit bitterness too, cider and ginger as well.
Finish
Short to medium. Quite apple-y with some straw too.
