Description
Drawn from Littlemill's oldest remaining reserves, this 47-year-old single malt is a historical landmark, distilled on 4 October 1976. It spent its first 20 years in refill bourbon barrels before being re-racked into refill American oak hogsheads in 1996 for a further 27 years of maturation. This release, Chapter Two of The Vanguards Collection, honors Jane MacGregor, believed to be one of the first women in history to hold a distillery license of Littlemill's scale in 1823. Bottled at cask strength of 44.9% ABV, it is an extraordinarily rare and pure expression of Littlemill's character. Only 250 individually numbered bottles were released worldwide, each presented in a Glencairn Crystal decanter with a bespoke glass stopper crafted by Bethany Wood, an ash display cabinet, a 50ml miniature, and a hardback book.
