Description

Loch Dhu 10 Year Old Litre is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Mannochmore distillery, known as 'The Black Whisky'. It was devised by United Distillers in 1996 and gained popularity due to its unusual, almost opaque black appearance. This distinctive color is attributed to maturation in double charred casks, though it is widely believed that significant quantities of spirit caramel (E150a) were also added. The whisky is often described as controversial and has garnered a cult following despite mixed critical reception.
