Nose
crispy bacon on seeded bread, lubricated with tomato ketchup, soft brown sugar and ... vanilla custard.
Palate
an ode to vegetable stock and grilled gammon. A savoury dram.
Finish
The introduction of water opened the oven door to a fresh loaf of bread, dusted with lemon sherbet and chicken gravy granules. The palate was now much like the nose, joined by a pinch of soot from granny's coal fireplace and a wet pine branch.
