Description

Loch Lomond 2012 10 Year Old Distillery Edition #3 is a small batch, limited release single malt whisky, part of the distillery's innovative Distillery Editions series. Distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2023, this expression underwent an extra-long fermentation of three weeks (approximately 500 hours) in their unique Straight Neck stills to enhance its delicate fruit flavours. Matured for 10 years in refill American Oak casks, it is bottled at a cask strength of 57.2% ABV, non-chill filtered, and with natural colour.

Extremely rich and very balanced, fizzy lemon sweets, sweet melon, pear drops, sweet orangey notes, creamy peach in vanilla cream, lemon and grapefruit flavoured sherbet, fizzy effervescence, tangy citrus with lemon zest, sour apples, tropical pineapple juice, mangoes, passionfruit, slight butteriness, sour maltiness, grapefruit notes, green apples.
Finish
Quite rich and lovely smooth texture, tropical and tangy, apricot juice sweetness, mandarin orange segments, sour and slightly bitter white grapefruit juice, dry funky white grapes, dry malty notes, dried floral elderflower, long, mineralic, drying grapefruit.
