The original Loch Lomond distillery was founded in roughly 1814, proximate to the Northern Loch Lomond area of Tarbet. Nose
Rhubarb notes combine with red berries soaked in wine. Apples, orange, grapefruit, and a hint of sandalwood. Fruity orange and pear with a slight creamy sweetness.
Palate
Apple and cherry embedded in dark chocolate, followed by a sweetish spiciness. Caramelised dates, fresh pear, spiced apple cake, and a touch of anise. Creamy, chocolatey, with a very slight hint of smoke and a thick, sweet and sour delivery.
Finish
Peach and pear notes with pleasantly sweet accents of vanilla. Cinnamon and clove, tempered by juicy apricot, with toasted oak. Medium long with fudgy orange, cinnamon, and clove, light and balanced.
