The Loch Lomond 8 Year Old Madeira Wood Finish is a single malt Scotch whisky designed specifically for the travel retail market. It is initially matured in traditional ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in ex-Madeira casks, which impart a rich, sweet complexity to the whisky.

Palate
Initially flat, then an explosion of fruits and spiciness, featuring apricots, orange marmalade, yellow pears and lemon. It has a floral and vanilla sweetness but feels young and spirity.
Finish
Spicy and fruity with tropical fruits and oakiness. It becomes nutty late in the finish but can feel slightly bitter and boring as the oakiness takes over.
