Description

Lochlea Cask Strength Batch #1 Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a carefully curated spirit, matured in a combination of first-fill Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks. As part of an annual series, this limited edition offering is bottled at cask strength, providing a complex, layered tasting experience directly from the cask. Originally a South Ayrshire cattle farm, Lochlea pivoted to barley growing with the aim of establishing a distillery and began producing spirit in 2018. An independent and family-owned distillery, Lochlea benefits from the expertise of ex-Laphroaig distillery manager John Campbell, who oversees the production of this elegant and fruity spirit. Lochlea is steeped in history, and the barley is grown on their own farm.
