Description

Founded in 1895, Gordon & MacPhail has been bottling single malt whiskies for 120 years. This Lochside 1981 Rare Old is a rare and highly collectible Highland single malt Scotch whisky from the now-demolished Lochside Distillery, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of their Rare Old series. Distilled in 1981 and matured for around seventeen years in carefully selected refill casks, this limited release captures the distillery's gentle, cereal-rich character before production ceased in 1992. Lochside remains one of Scotland's lost distilleries, with remaining stocks becoming increasingly scarce.
