Description

A bottle of Longmorn 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled in 1971, matured in sherry wood and bottled in 1990 for the Antica Casa Marchesi Spinola Collection No.1. It was imported to the Italian market by Sestante Import. Longmorn is a popular Speyside distillery, and an essential component in many blends over the years. As such, much of its production is reserved for this purpose and although distillery bottlings first appeared in the 1980s, it was rarely seen before the 15 year old expression was relaunched in 1993. The distillery has long been producing a stunningly lush and fruity Speyside single malt whisky.

Nose
Classic sherry whisky smell, old leather seats in classic cars, shoe polish, a basket full of overripe cherry, and tealeaves. With water, an industrial smokiness, hints of oil and car engine emerge.
Palate
Red fruits, mostly cherries, covered in chocolate. Strong wood and spices, dark chocolate, cigar leaves, with delicate fruitiness that comes and goes. Notes of espresso.
Finish
Lingering notes of fruitiness, dark chocolate, and espresso.
