Description
Founded in 1895, Gordon & MacPhail has been bottling single malt whiskies for 120 years and by the 1950s it held the largest range of bottled malt whiskies in the world. This family-run business has bottled the oldest single malt whisky in the world - a Mortlach 1939 75 Year Old - as well as being a distiller itself after buying Benromach in 1993. This Longmorn 2005, bottled in 2020 as part of Gordon & MacPhail's 'Distillery Labels' series, offers complex fruit, patisserie and spice notes from its 14-15 years in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. The 'Distillery Labels' range celebrates Gordon & MacPhail's long-standing relationships with distilleries, often featuring facsimile labels from legendary bottlings of the past. This particular bottling is presented at 46% ABV, providing extra depth and character.
