Description

A Speyside malt distillery with important connections to a number of blended Scotch brands. Today it is part of the Chivas Brothers division of Pernod Ricard who, despite its needing much of its stock for the likes of Chivas Regal and Ballantine's, also market its single malt.

Nose
So much apple. Also a touch vegetal, with celery and raw green beans.
Palate
Crisp green apple, caramel, lemon glaze, and toffee. Moderate oak. Plenty of apple, but not as fruity as most Longmorn. Peach turns up after a while.
Finish
Caramel, sweet tea with lemon, and not as much apple. Turns more oaky now, and some digestive biscuit pops up. Fairly drying.
