Nose
Full and floral with bruised petals, blossoms, grist, thick-cut marmalade, fresh herbs, and a very faint smoke. Notes of custard, earth, peat, dirt, vanilla wrapped caramel, tropical fruit candy, and honeyed peat.
Palate
Big and firm with a solid slab of peat, malty sweetness of sugared peels, tangerine, and a hint of lime. Less sweetness and more peat smoke than the nose, with vanilla beans, soft smoke, soft peat moss, and a slight medicinal quality. Initial rush of sweetness and spice from bourbon and sherry casks.
Finish
Long with citrus zest and oaked warmth. Notes of tiny Band-Aid, ripe fruits like peach, mango, and sweet clementine juice, with a peep of bitterness and salt. The smoke remains in the background, leading to a nutty and smoky conclusion.
