Nose
Soft peat smoke with smoked mussels and cured meat, balanced by ripe apricot, peach, and gentle fruit sweetness. Also notes of very rich and musty, almost pungent, mushrooms, moss, moldy lemons and oranges, minerality, earthy notes, and petrichor.
Palate
More assertive peat smoke with seaweed, samphire, coastal salinity, ripe berries, stone fruit, and rich malt. Also notes of wood smoke, coal, dusty, worn leather, and a soft herbal side. Rich toffee, spiced oak, and luscious banana.
Finish
Creamy and lingering with raspberry, caramelized butter, cranachan, maritime character, and prolonged peat smoke. Also notes of sweet vanilla, damp, earthy flavors, mossy wood, salty sea water, tart lemons, creme brulee, wood smoke, and tannic red wine.
