Description

Lord Elcho Premium Blend 15 Year Old is a premium blended Scotch whisky from Wemyss Malts, an independent bottling and blending company established in 2005. The whisky is named after David, Lord Elcho (1721-1787), eldest son of the 5th Earl of Wemyss, a celebrated supporter of Bonnie Prince Charlie during the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745. This blend contains a high proportion of aged malt whisky, with a minimum age of 15 years, and is crafted to offer richness, depth, and complexity. It is distilled, aged, blended, and bottled in Scotland.

Nose
Rich and warming with notes of stewed apples, dried figs, polished oak, honeycomb, vanilla custard, and sweet spices like clove, cinnamon, and sandalwood. Hints of gingernut biscuits, toffee apples, and subtle floral notes are also present.
Palate
Smooth and full-bodied, revealing mellow malt sweetness, dark fruits such as plum, raisin, and cherry preserve, along with toffee, hazelnut, and gentle spice. Cocoa butter, chocolate, and a soft leathery undertone contribute to its luscious and robust character.
Finish
Long, warm, and satisfying, with lingering notes of spiced fruit cake, oaky tannins, milk chocolate, and a touch of malt-driven spice.
