Nose
Fresh and fruity with nice sherried notes, flowery with tangerine liqueur and hints of old roses. Elegant and expressive with perfect balance, whiffs of smoke, oak, raisins, orange marmalade, apricot cake, ripe mirabelle plums, ginger tonic, grenadine syrup, ripe strawberries, blackcurrant, prunes, and toffee. Dried fruit, ginger, and rich orange with hints of clove and nutmeg.
Palate
A beautifully dry attack with lots of tea, bitter caramel, and balsamic vinegar. Notes of cake, rum, and Smyrna raisins. Rich raisin and sultana with notes of caramel, vanilla, and ginger, balanced by wood spice and zesty citrus.
Finish
Long, slightly bitter, dry and clean, with hints of calvados and a little salt. Warm oak spice with ginger, turning to sweet orange.
