Description

The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid. This 18-year-old single malt, distilled in 1987, is part of the Sherry Oak series and was matured exclusively in sherry oak casks from Jerez, Spain. Bottled in 2005, the 1987 vintage was notable for being the first to feature a new bottle shape and was presented in a rare matte purple carton. It is a classic and highly sought-after whisky for collectors. [1, 8, 15]
