Description

Bottled in 2001, this is a precursor to the Macallan Fine & Rare series, which was launched the following year and borrowed heavily on the aesthetic used here. Distilled in 1961 and bottled from two sherry hogshead casks #1127 and #1581, this is certainly a fine and rare Macallan in its own right. Only 379 standard bottles were released. It was bottled at natural cask strength without chill filtration or artificial colouring.
