The Macallan Aurora 'Year of the Ox' is a single malt Scotch whisky released to celebrate the Chinese Lunar Year of the Ox 2021. It was initially an exclusive release for the Taiwanese duty-free market and global travel retail. This expression is part of the popular Quest Collection and signifies a journey of discovery into the role of sherry-seasoned oak casks in Macallan whiskies. It is matured in a masterful marriage of four different cask types, including hand-picked European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks and hogsheads, combined with American oak bourbon casks.
