Description

The Fine & Rare Series of whiskies was launched in 2002, designed to represent the very best vintages and whisky that Macallan had to offer, dating back as far as 1926. This 1997 vintage is a 26-year-old single malt, distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2023 at a natural cask strength of 54.8% ABV. It was exclusively matured in a single first-fill sherry seasoned European oak butt. Only 538 bottles were released globally. The 1997 release celebrates a significant year for Hollywood and for The Macallan, as international sales surpassed domestic for the first time.
