Description

The Macallan Rare Cask Batch No. 1 2018 Release is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This non-age statement expression is part of the Rare Cask series, which began releasing in small batches in 2018. This first batch was one of three released in 2018, with each batch representing a vatting of 50 sherry-seasoned oak butts, a high proportion of which are first-fill American and European oak casks. The selection process for these casks is highly stringent, drawing from less than one percent of those aging at the distillery.
