Nose
Soft notes of opulent vanilla with rich raisin, sweet fusion of fresh apple, lemon and orange, balanced by root ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Also, dried dark fruit, cocoa powder, caramel butterscotch, candied citrus and spice.
Palate
Intense sweet raisin dominates, giving way to vanilla and dark chocolate, with layers of light citrus zest. The spicy quartet (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove) is unwavering, with oak resonating. Darkly sweet, dried fruit, caramel, iodine, butterscotch, sherry sweetness, overripe bananas and cocoa powder are also present.
Finish
Long, rich and velvety, with a warming and woody character. Darkly sweet and oily with notes of overripe fruit and sweet maltiness, and a lingering taste of orange chocolate.
