Description

The Macallan Reflexion is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, part of The Macallan's prestigious Masters Decanter Series (also known as the 1824 Masters Series). It is matured exclusively in first-fill Spanish and American sherry seasoned oak, with a significant proportion being smaller hogshead casks, which allows for greater wood interaction. This maturation process imparts a deep red mahogany hue and a bold, full-bodied character with complex flavors and aromas. The whisky is presented in an elegant angular decanter and was produced in limited quantities.

Nose
Fresh zest of orange and citrus fruits, green apples, robust notes of chocolate, thick fudge, boiled sweets, aniseed, caramel toffees, subtle white chocolate truffles, fresh bananas, and sweet oak.
Palate
Initial light citrus zest with new oak, succulent sweetness of lemon and orange, raisin, sultana, apple, hints of cinnamon and ginger, chocolate oranges, and a creamy texture with honeyed malt, candied orange, and toasted nuts.
Finish
Medium to long, soft, with boiled sweets, a glimpse of toasted oak, lingering hints of dark chocolate, subtle baking spice, dried fruit, spice, and polished oak notes.
