A 12-year-old single malt from a "Secret" Speyside Distillery, now confirmed to be Macallan! The Single Malts of Scotland's Reserve Casks is an independent bottling series from Elixir, (The Whisky Exchange). Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2021 from only 3 casks.

Nose
Nose. Sweet, sherried sultanas and nutty notes of maple syrup mingle with gently woody vanilla, earthy, musty coffee, and dark ginger cake. Palate. Seedy toasted bread with plenty of butter and silky honey, dried orange peels, and more roasted nuts follow bittersweet baking spices, charred oak, butterscotch, and treacle toffee. Finish. Dark fruit cake, raisins, spiced notes of clove, and anise with whisps of nutmeg and ginger balancing sweet, oaken caramel.
