This exceptional vintage release from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail offers a glimpse into early-2000s spirit from The Macallan Distillery. Distilled in 2001 and matured for more than two decades before being bottled in 2023, this single cask expression (Cask No. 20600304) showcases the refined depth, sherry-rich character, and elegant maturity that define both The Macallan and the celebrated Speymalt series. Matured in a First Fill Sherry Hogshead, it was bottled at natural cask strength of 53.9% ABV, with only 318 bottles produced.

Nose
Rich stewed berry aromas give way to orange peel and autumnal spices. Expressive aromas of sherry-soaked raisins, dark cherries and polished oak, supported by cocoa, vanilla pod, gentle leather and subtle spice.
Palate
Dried cherry, milk chocolate and subtle black pepper. Full-bodied and beautifully balanced. Flavours of dried fruit, dark chocolate, caramel and sweet malt intertwine with warming oak spice, orange peel, roasted nuts and soft tannins.
Finish
Full and long with toasted oak. Long, smooth and luxuriously layered. Notes of rich dried fruit, chocolate, mellow spice and mature oak linger in a graceful and satisfying conclusion.
