Nose
Pronounced Sherry notes, rum and raisin toffees, mixed spices, ripe exotic fruits, toasted oak, fresh herbal edge. Big on prunes, chocolate, blood oranges, tangerine, raisins, nuts, fig jam, raspberries, rum-glazed bananas, heather honey, ginger, cumin, fresh herbs. Apricot tartlets, dates, fresh red fruits, mint, cinnamon, sweet ginger, dusty books.
Palate
Elegant and coating. Dried fruits, figs, baked apples, bergamot tea, oranges, strawberries, natural caramel, smoke, roasted coffee beans, nutmeg, pepper. Vivid, dry spices (cloves, cardamom), leathery, oakier, blackberry liqueur, resinous notes, walnuts, liquorice. Immediate smoke, gentle tannins, oily, leathery, prune-like, dense.
Finish
Light wood influence, slightly drier. Toffee, dried fruits, tobacco, liquorice. Medium length, forest fruit, resin, spices.
