Nose
Intense dried fruits, rich dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and warming spices with hints of polished oak and old leather. Luxuriant raisin loaf, dark honey and orange marmalade drift over beeswax-polished oak, cocoa powder and a hint of clove.
Palate
Full-bodied with concentrated layers of Christmas cake, dark cherries, toasted oak, and nutmeg, complemented by notes of toffee, cocoa, and baking spices. Silky floods of fig jam, treacle toffee and malted biscuit coat the tongue, followed by clove-spiked chocolate, roasted hazelnut and a bright flash of candied citrus peel.
Finish
Long and warming with persistent dried fruits, dark chocolate, and subtle oak spices that slowly fade, leaving a pleasant lingering warmth. Long, warming and gently dry—lingering sherry-soaked fruitcake, mellow oak tannin and a final flourish of vanilla-malt sweetness.
