Description

Macaloney's Caledonian Invermallie Island Single Malt is a Canadian single malt whisky distilled and bottled at Macaloney's Caledonian Distillery in Victoria, BC. It is produced using 100% Canadian barley and traditional alembic handcrafted copper pot stills. This particular Invermallie special release is a single cask, limited edition matured in a re-charred Portuguese red wine barrique imported from Europe. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV. The distillery began producing spirit in 2016 and released its inaugural whiskies in 2020.

Palate
Rich and creamy with tropical fruits, wood spices, brandied dark fruit cake, cognac, cocoa, malted milk, nuts, honey, mild oak, grain spices, light vanillans, soft leathery flavors of barley grain, red cherry licorice, gooseberry, butterscotch, and almond.
Finish
Long with a hint of sea salt, dark chocolate, lingering oak, fruitcake, spices, and a little bit of mint.
