Description

Founded in 1971 during the 'Whisky Boom'. The spirit is light with a distinctly fruity, floral and malty character. Fully matured in a hogshead recoopered with 1st fill bourbon barrel ends. Located on the same site as Glenlossie, this not well known unassuming Speysider produces a rich fruit character that pairs perfectly with a cask with a strong ex-bourbon influence.

Nose
Bright and inviting aromas of fresh orchard fruits (green apples, pears, peach), vanilla bean, honey, and a subtle floral undertone. Hints of citrus zest, sweet malt, buttered toast, honeyed biscuits, toffee, oatcakes, and vanilla buttercream.
Palate
Silky smooth with sweet vanilla and creamy toffee from the bourbon cask. Notes of ripe banana, coconut, almond, cinnamon, white pepper, salted caramel, and baked apple. Some oak, tannins, and a bit of pepper.
Finish
Medium to long, with soft oak, lingering vanilla sweetness, a whisper of citrus peel, and ripe apples.
