First founded in 2017, Global Whisky Limited are a Glasgow based independent bottler who specialise in small batch releases under their four whisky brands, these brands are The Red Cask Co, Concept 8, OLO & Auld Goonsy's. They pride themselves on selecting the very best whisky for their bottling's. All of their casks are sampled by a tasting panel of ex-distillery managers. Only when the spirit has... Two worlds collide as the taste of Scotland meets the historic bodegas of Jerez, Spain. A selection of the very finest cask strength Scotch whisky finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks. The Oloroso sherry cask detail gives this a clear point of interest, alongside sherried oak, dried apricots and molasses. The dry, warming finish sounds like a nice counterpoint.

This reads as a rich, sherry-led Speyside, with fig jam, dark chocolate and red currant setting up the dried apricot and molasses on the palate. Black pepper gives that sweeter core a welcome edge, then the long, dry, warming finish carries it into cinnamon and nutmeg.
