Nose
Plush swirls of raisin syrup, honey-edged red apple and soft rose petal drift over polished oak, cocoa nibs and a hint of cinnamon. Aromas of sultanas, caramel drizzle, and fresh orchard fruit, lifted by hints of gentle vanilla and subtle oak. Lush aromas of raisins, dates, and figs, complemented by dark chocolate and syrupy caramel. Warm notes of spices like cinnamon and nutmeg blend with a subtle hint of orange zest and roasted nuts.
Palate
Silky layers of fig jam, toffee pudding and sweet malt glide across the tongue, followed by clove-spiked chocolate, toasted hazelnut and a bright citrus lift. A smoothly layered profile of toffee, fig, and delicate spice, revealing Mannochmore's underlying cereal sweetness draped in luxuriously sweet PX notes. A full and creamy texture with rich notes of plums, mocha, and candied almonds. The Pedro Ximénez sherry casks provide deep layers of honey, dark berries, and a touch of toasted oak. Spicy accents of clove and black pepper add extra depth.
Finish
Medium-long, warming and gently drying—lingering PX-soaked fruitcake, mellow oak tannin and a final whisper of vanilla-malt sweetness. Medium-long, unfolding soft sherry nuances, mild chocolate, and a lingering fruitcake sweetness that calmly fades away. Long and warming, with lingering notes of dark chocolate, sherry-soaked oak, and a subtle smokiness. The finish remains smooth, sweet, and complex, with a hint of espresso and spices.
