Description

Mars Komagatake Double Cellars 2019 is a Japanese single malt whisky, the second edition in the 'Double Cellars' series. It was distilled at the Mars Shinshu distillery in 2014, with some of the whisky matured at the Shinshu distillery and some at the Yakushima aging cellar. The whisky is a vatting of American White Oak, Bourbon, and Sherry casks, bottled in 2019 at 5 years old. This release is known for its unique character derived from aging in two distinct locations.

Medium texture with honey, creamy vanilla, lemon oil, marshmallows, guava jelly, sweet honeycomb, brown sugar, barley, dried stonefruit, mild fresh oak, tobacco, a hint of smoke, soft vanilla, malt sugars, sultanas, spices, clove, cassia, orange, confectioner's sugar, light roast African coffee, blackberry notes, and tea.
