This Mars Komagatake Single Malt Limited Edition 2020 is a Japanese single malt whisky distilled at the Shinshu Distillery, located in the Central Alps of Nagano, Japan. It was matured in a combination of ex-sherry and American white oak barrels and bottled in 2020 at 50% ABV. This limited edition release is known for its elegant, fruit-forward, and citrus-led profile, with notes of plum, honey, bitter orange marmalade, and vanilla. It is also non-chill filtered.

An aroma of mature plums, gentle sweet scent of elegant honey and vanilla, spicy and fruity tones, cinnamon, nutmeg, almonds, walnuts, peach, apricot, mango, with a vinous note.
Palate
Sherried fruit, bitter flavors hinting of cocoa, orange fruit and zest, red fruits (currants, blueberries), blood orange, lemon, spices (pepper), vibrant vegetal notes, caramel, butterscotch, and a thick mouthfeel.
Finish
Nutty and bitter, gentle aftertaste, medium long, lighter and fresher, ginger, banana cake, honey, white pepper, sweet honeyed fruits, strawberry, light floral, baking spice, and notes of polished wood.
