Description

First emerging onto the Japanese whisky scene in 2015, Kurayoshi was first seen as a brand rather than a distillery. It wasn't until 2017 when they set up an actual distillery, but all of this happened away from the public eye, even the people in the Japan whisky industry were unbeknown to it! This single malt is distilled by Kurayoshi Distillery, located in Tottori Prefecture, and aged in rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks. The whisky is reduced with fresh water from the snowfall of the Daisen Mountain range. The bottle features Katsushika Hokusai's Thirty Six Views of Mount Fuji, featuring red-crowned cranes.
