Nose
A robust and smoky nose, complemented by hints of dried fruit, plum, and a warm finish of honey and delicate peat. Peated malt, heavy campfire smoke, white peppercorns, faint pear, earthy. Green olives, tobacco, pencil shavings, warm rubber.
Palate
Delightfully smoky, not a peat monster but with enough peated character. Peppercorn mix, peat, light vanilla, lightly charred oak. Complex, malt, oak, peat, salt. Thick body, sweet and dry balance, strong peat, salty, hint of citrus, strong backdrop of oak. Crushed red grapes, treacle, fudge, brine, coastal elements, light minerality, dried wood, bitter coffee, honeyed brine. Light and juicy with burned sugar and citrus, back flavors of salt brine and sea spray.
Finish
Warm honey and delicate peat. Peat, campfire smoke, light oak, white peppercorns, earthy. Strong, long, and delicious. Peat, wood, salt, malt. Smoked meat fades to a smoky malt and campfire ash that lingers for a nice long finish. Lingering smoke and wet earth, medium finish.
