Nose
Warm toasted burnt sugar notes with spice, sweet, smoky fruit, candied cherries, and honeyed vanilla. Aromas of marshmallows, oak, leather, vanilla, toffee, cinnamon, and clove. Butterscotch with ripe pears and apples, a bit of white pepper spice.
Palate
Butter, almost lemony tang, nutmeg, hot tortilla. Silky maltiness with cherry, caramel-corn, coffee-cake, and cinnamon bun tones. Smooth and well-balanced, featuring flavors of honey, butterscotch, and warm baking spices. Layering butterscotch, vanilla, caramel, toffee, honeyed milk chocolate and candied cherry, with toasty campfire notes.
Finish
Medium-long, warm, with mild pepper, oak spice, and a hint of fruit. The rye, clove, and pepper linger. Lingering vanilla sweetness and a pleasant warming sensation. Starts out like a bourbon, finishes like a rye.
