Nose
A delicate introduction of sweet mandarin orange citrus with green banana and vanilla. Light herbal notes develop, leading to typical pot still spices including cardamom, nutmeg, and peppers. A fresh, light honey scent brightens the nose, with a mellow and clean spice.
Palate
Smooth and initially sweet with vanilla and red apple. Robust spices like cinnamon, clove, and root ginger show their presence. There is a polished antique wood contribution from the barrels alongside some light tannins and charred oak. A light oily mouthfeel.
Finish
Extra long, with spices subsiding to green fruit and stalks of barley. Sweet honey and floral flavors transition to rich oak and piney notes, and into a mellow spiciness that never overwhelms.
