Nose
The crisp and vibrant spices are enriched with accentuated tones of toasted oak, worn leather and earthy woodland notes, while delicate hints of ripe banana and kiwi intertwine with the deeper layers of hazelnut chocolate and honeycomb. Sweet notes of honeyed malt and vanilla up front, with a hint of marshmallow and summer fruits.
Palate
Rich spice intensity with freshly grated ginger and nutmeg, while zesty fruits of lime and orange peel also appear to the fore, then slowly subsiding to reveal rich and luscious waves of sweet vanilla, butterscotch and dairy chocolate with nutty undertones. The charred American oak imparts delicate tannins that complement the spices and fruits of this intricate whiskey. The palate eventually dries out nicely and deepens, evolving into a medley of subtle spice. Very drinkable.
Finish
Exceptionally long finish where the spices are the first to fade, allowing the sweet fruits and mature oak to conclude the story.
