Description
One of Scotland's most prolific whisky companies, founded as an independent bottler by Andrew Symington in 1988. It later acquired its own distillery in the shape of Edradour in 2002, producing both peated Ballechin and the non-peated Edradour style. It also opened Edradour No.2 in 2018. A heavyweight Speyside malt distillery that is home to Scotland's most complex distillation regime. Famously di ... Mortlach 11 Year Old 2014, bottled in 2026 as part of the Signatory Vintage 100-Proof Edition (#73), is a bold and uncompromising Speyside single malt bottled at traditional 100-proof strength (57.1% ABV). Matured through a combination of first-fill Oloroso sherry butts and refill hogsheads, this release perfectly complements Mortlach's famously weighty, meaty spirit. Bottled at high strength and presented in full natural form—non-chill filtered and with no added colour—this is a powerful yet controlled expression that rewards slow exploration. A classic “Beast of Dufftown” profile with added muscle, depth and sherry-driven richness, the 100-Proof Edition captures Mortlach at its most characterful.
