Description

A heavyweight Speyside malt distillery that is home to Scotland's most complex distillation regime. Famously distilling its spirit 2.81 times, its whisky is synonymous with the Johnnie Walker blends and beloved as a single malt, particularly when sherry cask-aged. This Mortlach was matured for rich distillery character in small batches then carefully finished in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso-seasoned casks to build yet more levels of aroma and taste. Called the “The Beast of Dufftown” for its robust, meaty nature, this release offers a smooth, sweet and savoury profile.
