Description

This Nc'nean Aon Single Cask #17-160 is an organic single malt Scotch whisky, bottled exclusively for Royal Mile Whiskies and Timberyard Restaurant. Distilled in June 2017 and bottled in November 2023, this 6-year-old whisky was initially matured in a first-fill ex-Bourbon cask before being re-racked into a first-fill ex-Madeira cask for a finishing period. It is non-chill filtered, has natural color, and is bottled at cask strength of 55.9% ABV. Only 261 bottles were released.

Nose
Honeysuckle and peach. Hints of pink lady apples. With time in the glass, caramel, stewed fruit and nuttiness comes through. Rich, dark treacle.
Palate
Apricot and pear drops initially. More fruit syrup notes, chocolate, honeynut and a touch of maple syrup. A nice balance of richness, nutty notes and a hint of citrus. With water creamy notes come to the fore.
Finish
Candied fruits, roasted cashews and a Chantilly cream finish.
