Facing Tobermory Distillery across the Sound of Mull, Nc'nean is situated on the Drimnin estate on Scotland's Morvern peninsula and owned by Derek and Louise Lewis, the parents of distillery manager, Annabel Thomas. One of the new wave of Scottish farm distilleries designed by the late Jim Swan, Ncn'ean has been designed as the first fully organic modern distillery in Scotland powered by 100% renewable energy. This Nc'nean Aon Single Cask #17-366 is part of their 'Aon' series of single cask bottlings, meaning 'one' in Gaelic. Each cask is hand-picked for its unique character. This particular expression was fully matured in an STR (shaved, toasted and re-charred) Red Wine Cask and was bottled to celebrate Nc'nean's partnerships with independent spirits retailers across Scotland. It is a rich and decadent whisky with notes of raspberry and caramel, cranberries and vanilla, offering incredible color, character, and texture.
