Description

Launched in 2012, this is a brand of whiskies produced by the New Zealand Whisky Company. It bottles casks produced at the Willowbank distillery in Dunedin, which closed in 1997. Expressions have included single malts, single grain and various blends. A company established in 2010 in order to acquire the last remaining 443 barrels of whisky produced at the Willowbank distillery in New Zealand, which had closed in 1997. This 15 year old blended whisky is a master blend of 70% single malt whisky and 30% premium grain whisky (unmalted barley). It was first matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for six years, then transferred to French oak ex-New Zealand red wine barrels for nine years of aging.
