Nose
Incredible: elegant and perfectly balanced, combining gentle fruit, soft spice and aromatic wood. Tropical notes of mango and papaya are joined by sweet berries before waves of cinnamon, nutmeg, musky eucalyptus, incense and anise add further complexity. Soft orchard fruits, dried apricot and stewed pear, old wood polish and varnished oak, caramelized almond and faint vanilla.
Palate
Silkily textured, and initially dark in character: chocolate and toasted orange accompanied by Chinese tea, with rich leather and tobacco notes. Lighter flavors develop and build on top, with citrus zest adding fresh overtones. Herbal notes join the fray, providing a leafy and aromatic core. Exceptionally smooth, with cedar, sandalwood, gentle tobacco leaf, faded sweetness like burnt toffee or dark honey, and an earthy, leathery quality.
Finish
Soft at first, but it grows in weight, gathering citrus bitterness and gentle fruity sweetness. Long, but not forceful. Gentle tannins linger with soft herbal bitterness, balanced by a subtle toffee note that re-emerges. Fading dark fruit component, like dried fig, that disappears evenly and cleanly.
