Description
Nikka Miyagikyo 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is a revered Japanese single malt produced at the Miyagikyo Distillery, known for its elegant and fruity character. This expression was discontinued, making it a rare and sought-after whisky. It is aged for a minimum of twelve years, primarily in ex-Sherry casks with some ex-Bourbon cask influence. The Miyagikyo distillery, located in the Miyagi Prefecture, was established by Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky, to create a contrast to the Yoichi distillery, producing lighter and fruitier malts.
