Description
This extraordinary North British release comes from the Chairman's Stock reserves of William Cadenhead Ltd, Scotland's oldest independent bottler, founded in 1842 and long respected for its uncompromising approach to single cask whisky. Bottled at 51.9% ABV after an impressive 40 years of maturation in a refill butt, this expression exemplifies the depth and elegance that long aged grain whisky can achieve when carefully stewarded. As with all Chairman's Stock bottlings, this cask was drawn from the private collection of the late Chairman Hedley G Wright and released in extremely limited quantities, bottled without chill filtration or added colour to preserve its natural character.
