Description

A former grain whisky producer and the first distillery venture of George P. Christie who later opened Speyside. Only short-lived, it only operated from 1958 until 1980 when Christie shut it down in anticipation of the era of oversupply known as the "whisky loch."

Rolling tobacco, old varnish with aromatic cinnamon dusted dried fruit and candied lemon peel. A whiff of eucalyptus - somewhat reminiscent of a dry madeira.
Palate
A sweet, toffee apple with rich vanilla and caramel balanced by dry, bitter woody tannins.
Finish
Wafts of smoke and spice emerge in the still toffee influenced mocha coffee, woody finish.
